Black Industries regret to announce that Dark Heresy: Disciples of the
Dark Gods out in September will be the final product to be released
from Black Industries.

Kevin Rountree General Manager of BL Publishing said `As a result of
the continued and impressive success of our core novels business,
which we have built around 40K and Warhammer, we have decided to focus
all of our efforts on growing this part of our business. Black
Industries has seen fantastic success, most recently with Talisman and
Dark Heresy. This change does not take away from that achievement
rather it allows BL Publishing to focus on producing the best novels
we can. This is a purely commercial decision and will enable us to
carry on the huge growth that we have recently been experiencing with
our novels'

For the time being Black Industries will continue to post articles in
support of the products on their official website, which is a
fantastic resource for scenarios and gaming tools for GM's and players
alike.

Erstmal abwartem, was mit der Lizenz wird, diese Weltuntergangsstimmung im Netz geht mir schon wieder auf den Sender.

Außerdem sind wir Warhammerspieler gewohnt, das unser System jahrelang im Dreck liegt :dry:

Es ist keine Weltuntergangsstimmung. Fakt ist das GW als börsennotierte Firma gewinnorientiert arbeitet. Und es wäre nicht das erstemal das sie die Lizenz nicht weitervergeben. Auch Hogshead hat letztendlich wegen Lizenzproblemen dicht machen müssen.

Wie Neon schon sagte, wir sind ja gewohnt das wir Warhammer jahrelang im Dunkeln spielen müssen, solange die GRW draussen sind, reicht das ja ohnehin....das neue/alte Bretonnia hat mir eh nie gefallen :P :)

Aaaalso:

Black Industries wird im Zwei-Monats-Turnus noch die letzten vier Bücher für Dark Heresy veröffentlichen. September 2008 wird dann der letzte Band erscheinen und damit endet die Aktivität von Black Industries. Es wird auch noch ein letzter Band für Warhammer Fantasy erscheinen.

Danach wird Black Industries noch für eine Zeit lang im Netz zur Verfügung stehen und dann ganz offline gehen. Grund hierfür ist dass GW wegen Umsatzeinbußen (nicht rote Zahlen, sondern nicht-erwartungsgemäßen Einnahmen) alle minderlukrativen Seitenzweige der Firma stutz. Deswegen fällt auch die Einzelteil-Mailorder für das Tabletop weg. In näherer Zukunft (ich denke noch diesen Monat) wird es nur noch Spezialreleases über die Online-Shops geben, aber keine Bits mehr.

Das Modell mit den zwei separaten Regelwerken (Rogue Trader und Deathwatch; Xenos warem meines Wissens nie im Gespräch) wurde schon vor längerer Zeit vollständig verworfen. Ich glaube nicht, dass wir die überhaupt irgendwann zu Gesicht bekommen.

Es erscheinen folgende Titel für Dark Heresy:
- Dark Heresy Core Rulebook (bereits ausverkauft!)
- Dark Heresy GM's Kit (GM-Screen und Abenteuer; hier ist auch ein Xenos-Generator enthalten!)
- Character Folio (Deluxe Characersheet in Heftchen-Form)
- Inquisitor's Handbook (Player's Guide)
- Purge the Unclean (Abenteuer)
- Disciples of the Dark Gods (Chaos Sourcebook)

Dark Heresy / Inquisition und Zivil.
Rogue Trader / Xenos und Handel.
Death Watch / Marines.

Rogue Trader sollte sich viel mit Xenos befassen. Darum katalogisierte ich das so.

also zum einen isses ja so das BI die spiele nur als verlag vertreibt, green ronin sind die fleissigen systemingeneure hinter wh40k und whfrpg. fuer die deutsche uebersetzung brauch sich keiner zu fuerchten da wird noch alles rauskommen was bisher bei BI ershcienen ist. ausserdem, wenn man der presseerklaerung glauben schenken darf, schliesst f-u-s noch nen 3 jahres lizenzvertrag ab.

ich glaube auf green ronin war mal ne news bezueglich der anderen beiden core books. bleibt zu hoffen das green ronin die lizenz uebernimmt und das zeug auch verscherbelt. bei den blutschwertern gibts nen fred mit diversen links zur stellungname diverser produzenten/entwickler.

p.s. ich besitze noch ein inoffizielles wh 40k rpg das irgendwann vor urzeiten mal im netz unterwegs war. is ein schlichtes doc. sehr interessant was man da alles drauf findet.....

Rogue Trader ist die 1st Edition von WH40k. Damals wars noch ein Tabletop/Rollenspiel-Hybrid.

Roleplaying Games based on Games Workshop properties.
Second deal to include Sabertooth Games' Universal Fighting System CCG
Roseville, Minnesota (February 22, 2008) – Fantasy Flight Games (“FFG”) and Games Workshop (“GW”)
jointly announced today that they have reached an agreement for Fantasy Flight Games to become the exclusive
publisher of board games, card games (including collectible card games), and roleplaying games based on Games
Workshop’s family of renowned intellectual properties including Warhammer Fantasy Battles and Warhammer
40,000. Additionally, the deal will grant FFG the exclusive rights to publish new versions of the classic board and
card games titles published by Games Workshop over the last 25 years.
Additionally, a second agreement between the parties will transfer the publication rights and system of the
Universal Fighting System CCG, formerly published by Sabertooth Games, to FFG.
“We are just so thrilled to partner with Games Workshop in such an encompassing deal,” said Christian T. Petersen,
CEO and founder of FFG. “Not only will we be able to continue the publication of some phenomenal roleplaying,
card, and board games currently on the market, but we look forward to creating new games for the popular GW
